If you are interested in getting dental implants, there are a couple of steps that you need to take. When you visit our office, we will go over every step with you in detail so that you are fully aware of what to expect when getting your brand new smile!
01. Bone Grafting
If you require a bone graft, it will be placed at your first surgical appointment. Some time is allowed for healing, before the next appointment.
02. Place Implant
Once the bone graft is healed, a hole will be drilled into the bone, and an implant will be screwed into place.
03. 3-6 Months Healing
Following implant placement, time is needed for the gums to heal over the implant. The bone support will re-form and stabilize.
04. Set Abutment
After the bone is fully healed, the end of the implant is then exposed. An abutment is placed on top of it.
05. Crown Implant
Finally, a permanent crown is cemented to the abutment. It is tested to ensure proper bite and function.
